Warning: spoilers.

The World Walkers and the ‘demons’ can have more knowledge about a world than the inhabitants of the worlds themselves do, although some worlds do still hold secrets that neither the walkers or the ‘demons’ know about. Kniroch is one of these worlds. None of the five worlds surrounding it can be visited by either the walkers or the ‘demons’ as they aren’t connected to the other worlds in the same way as the created worlds. They were created naturally by the magic used to make Kniroch. Due to this only certain people on Kniroch itself can travel to one or more of the five worlds. Some of the more experimental creators did create hidden towns, islands, and even continents. It was even possible for a creator to make more than one world by using the magic to overlay a continent with another.

Almost all the hidden places are travelled to on a regular basis by the walkers, and occasionally by the ‘demons’, but more often than not they aren’t known about by the inhabitants of the worlds. If it wasn’t for the doors connecting the hidden places to Athare then it is likely that no one would know about that any of them exist. Occasionally someone is born with the ability to see or walk through the magic used by the fae creators to hide the places. The ‘demons’ are related closely to the fae, which is why they have the abililty to walk through the doors without needing the tattoos that the walkers need, and it has been known for them to also have the ability to see through the magic. The walkers are related to the races the fae created.
